Hiding built-in stamps

Post by StoryBoarder »

How do you hide the built-in stamps from the toolbar dropdown?
I know how to do it in portable viewer 2.5 - there it's a simple checkbox that can be turned On or Off. But I cannot find a way to do it in the Editor?

Hi StoryBoarder,

Thanks for the post - I'm afraid that it doesn't appear that there is any way to do this, currently. I'll put this forward to the Dev. Team, for consideration in a later release.

Cheers,

To me it seems that it is possible to hide the built-in stamps in the Editor, but in an other way than it is in the Viewer.

In the Viewer, in the "Stamps Palette"-window, you have a "checkbox" for "Standard"-stamps and one for "New Collection"-stamps.

In the Editor, each of these two ranges of stamps has its own title in the "Stamps Palette"-window.
(To show the Stamps Palette-window, just click the tiny black triangle besides the Stamp-icon in the "Commenting Toolbar".)

In the Stamps Palette-window, via the little black (or white) triangle that is positioned just before the titles' name, you can collapse (or expand) the overview of the stamps.

Can this be an alternative solution ?

Thanks Willy,

not a bad solution, really. It had not occured to me that the Editor might remember the (un)folded state of each of those roll-downs beause the viewer always drills down everything. But as it turns out, the editor does indeed keep the last used setting between sessions. So yes, I can live with your solution.

Glad you chimed in. Thanks for letting me know.
