PDF web-pages -- read with Viewer or Editor ?

Post by bawldiggle »

Which PDF-XChange program to view PDF web-pages. ?

According to my PCs Programs and Features I have ...
  • 1. PDF-Viewer ... (by Tracker Software)
    2. PDF-Xchange Editor ... (by Tracker Software)
programs & features.7z
(10.5 KiB) Downloaded 89 times
Viewer is the current default PDF reader ... I assume because my Viewer was installed before Editor

Q1: Can I uninstall PDF-Viewer or will I lose some functionality on PDF web-pages ?

------------
OS:- Win7 Home Premium 32bit
Browser: Palemoon (Firefox fork)
Free PDF-XChange Editor since 12-Aug-2018
Free PDF-XChange Viewer for too long
... cautiously testing Editor
• Win-7 PRO 64bit | Win-7 Home 64-bit | Win-7 Home 32-bit ... fiddling with Linux Mint too
• ClassicShell GUI

Hello bawldiggle,

The Editor is the successor of the Viewer, so yes you can safely uninstall the Viewer, and switch to using only the Editor for all of your PDF Viewing and manipulating needs, including viewing in browsers.

Regards,
Stefan
