How to add Search Providers in new build 310?

Hello,

I just installed newest build PDF-XChange Editor 5.5 Build 310.0 and there is a new section for Search Providers. But there are no Search Providers in the list and I can not seem to add any either.

How do you add Search Providers or is this feature not enabled yet in 310?

In fact the search provides are already here and working for me. Did you install using the .exe installer? Please try the appropriate 32/64 bit MSI package instead and see if that will fix the installation for you - we are investigating some issues with the .exe packs.

My initial reply was posted before the dev team arrived this morning. It was assumed that the search function was a placeholder for build 311. It turns out that there is a genuine issue, and that it should be working correctly. The issue seems to revolve around the EXE installer. Please try to uninstall, restart, then install via the MSI. Please note that you may need to uninstall the Editor separately from a bundled installation.

Yes that was it the exe installer does not install the Search Providers. The MSI installer does not have this issue and I now have many Search Providers and they are all working as they should. Thanks for bringing back the internet search feature

Yes the issue with the exe installers is localized and we are uploading the new files. It might take a few more hours for them to update globally in the cloud service we are using.
