How can we run the editor as multiple processes?
In preference, I chose opening a new document in a new window, but I found that that didnt create a new process for a newly opened document.
Thanks.

Hi tim,
Thank you for the post. Unfortunately, the Editor does not support multiple processes.

But I hope to use the editor, because the viewer has other problems that the editor doesn't have.Patrick-Tracker Supp wrote:
Since the viewer can run in multiple processes, will it be possible to make the editor also?

Re: run editor as multiple processes?
Hi Tim,
You can have multiple Editor windows open - but they will all be in the same process.
Open two or more documents in tabs - then drag one of the tabs outside the current editor window and it will open in a separate one.
Best,
Stefan

I understand that. but I want to create multiple processes, so that it is less likely to crash and interfere between each other under wine.Tracker Supp-Stefan wrote:Hi Tim,

Re: run editor as multiple processes?
Hi Tim,
The Editor is much more stable than the Viewer, so it should crash less often.
And unfortunately there's no way to run separate instances of the Editor.
Regards,
Stefan

I know it should, but that doesn't happen under wine.Tracker Supp-Stefan wrote:Hi Tim,

Hi tim126,
As has been stated previously, we are limited in the ways in which we can support the use of our software on Linux. We do our best but this cannot, unfortunately, be considered a priority - supported OS's must be given priority. So, with respect, we will look into this ourselves as we are able and will do what we can, but can make no guarantees.
