When I copy a "text box" on one page and and then paste onto the same page OR onto another page, the pasted object is not visible.
I have looked in "Content" mode list --- opened the relevant pages and cannot find the object-entry!
- there is no sign of the "pasted" object on page #1 (I thought pasting might behave as MS Paint "paste" behaves.
Where do pasted objects hide or are they orphaned ?
- maybe my technique is wrong
Thank you
Where do pasted "objects" go ?

Re: Where do pasted "objects" go ?
Does the PDF file permit editing? Check in Document Properties, Security tab. (Ctrl D)

Re: Where do pasted "objects" go ?
Thanks for the help Bhikkhu!
bawldiggle - yes please check the document permissions (Ctrl-D -> Security), and if the file does not have any security restrictions - the pasted object should be at exactly the same position as the original. So if you "paste" on the same page - you should get two copies of the object one over the other, and if you paste on another page - it should be at the same position on the page.
Regards,
Stefan

The problem persists
Still having problems with copy/paste of text-boxes
But first my apologies ... I overlooked responding to "Stefan" and "Bhikkhu Pesala" ... and thanking you.
- I can copy my text-object but when pasted (as per above) the second copy is nowhere to be seen ... nor overlaid on the copied image object
- neither at the beginning of the current page, nor on the first page of the document
- using the same procedures as "above"
- so where might the pasted object be hiding ?
Would appreciate any help -- thank you

- The PDF was not locked nor restricted in any way
- was a PDF created from web-page by "Print tab as PDF" (mozilla browser addon) - discovered the paste had to be made by ...
- selecting the object (not in text edit mode)
- RClick the object > copy
- RClick the original object (again) > paste
- the resulting "copied object" is overlaid on the original object
- select the top object and drag it to new location
- dragging to another page ... image stops at original page > release drag > select again to move the copy onto the next page
