Full screen mode and schortcuts
Hi,
I am using a registered version of PDF x-change editor.
I am not able to use keyboard shortcuts in full screen mode. Is it normal?
P.S.:
I have a touchscreen monitor in my laptop. Would it be possible to personalize the size and the position of the buttons in the fullscreen mode? At the moment they are all in a corner of the screen. Would be great to go to the next page touching the right side of the screen, while go back to the previous page touching the left side of the screen.

Re: Full screen mode and schortcuts
On a regular PC, I am able to use PageDown/PageUp shortcuts, and Left/Right mouse button clicks to scroll through a PDF in Fullscreen mode.

Re: Full screen mode and schortcuts
Hello attorianzo,
First please make sure you are using build 309.0 of the Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/pdf-xchange-editor
And then your shortcuts (including custom ones for e.g. changing to two pages continuous View) should now work in full screen mode.
As for the touchscreen and scrolling - will pass that along to our devs.
Regards,
Stefan

I'm using version 309.0
I can confirm that keyboard shortcuts don't work in full screen mode (they work correctly in the normal windowed mode).

Re: Full screen mode and schortcuts
Hello attorianzo,
We've released build 310 last week, and when I tried e.g. Ctrl + 0, 1, 2, 3 - those shortcuts deffinitely worked for me.
Can you please update and try again.
And just to confirm you are entering full screen mode by pressing the F11 key and are not just e.g. maximizing the Editor right?
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Full screen mode and schortcuts
Thanks,
I have just updated to version 310.0.
Same issue.
I switch to full screen using F11 (or letter "F").
Once in full screen mode, I press letter "N" for stick notes, "H" for the highlight tool (I have other shortcuts, this are just a couple).
Both N or H don't activate their respective functions.

Re: Full screen mode and schortcuts
Hello attorianzo,
Can you please check in Edit -> Preferences -> Full Screen whether you have "presentation mode" turned on or off - if it's on - then maybe the sticky note and highlight tools are disabled because of this, as some other shortcuts (e.g. for zoom) do work as expected.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Full screen mode and schortcuts
Thanks,
I unticking presentation mode works perfectly.
I didn't know this and I think I never selected that box..
Is it the standard option? Probably would be better to add a warning when the user tries to use the shortcuts in fullscreen mode.
Anyway thanks, it works.

Hi attorianzo,
Yes I think presentation mode is the default option.
Glad to hear it's working for you now and we will consider the warning suggestion.

Stefan
