"Full Screen" mode and "Search the internet" features?

Post by gate1975mlm »

Hello,

I love seeing more and more features being added to PDF-XChange Editor :)

Any chance "Full Screen" mode and "Search the internet" features will be returning anytime soon?

Thanks

Hi,

Full screen mode is scheduled for the next release (build 309 in late June/July) and online search is hopefully coming in either 309 or 310 subject to time constraints, we also want to try and resolve as many outstanding bugs/issues as possible in 309 - so some newer features may be pushed back as a consequence....
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Best regards

Cool.
I don't know if anyone mentioned yet, but Viewer has a pointless margin in fullscreen mode. You don't need a margin when there is no other content on the screen. So it has no utility but decreases the readability slightly.

BTW. What is internet search I can see such feature in the viewer.
Is it something like selecting a word/text and searching with a web service? (dictionary, translator, google, etc) Because I would like that. Especially, if I could add arbitrary search engines.

Internet search lets you highlight any word in a PDF and right click it and search using google or perhaps other search engines also? I would think Google,Bing and Yahoo would be the search options.

With luck Full Screen Mode and Internet Search will make it into Build 309 :)

Hi guys,

Fullscreen has been implemented in build 309 of the Editor. I'm using an internal pre-release and it seems to be working beautifully :)

The internet search option hasn't yet been implemented, but it's coming.

Cheers,
