safety: option to lock all editing options?

One thing I'm a bit afraid of is accidental editing in important documents. I have a lot of long and important pdfs that I don't want to modify under any circumstances. We all know how it is to work late at night sometimes with lacking concentration and pressing wrong keys. In this situations it can happen that me even did not notice the accidental made modification in the document.

I like it that you couldn't modify them with the pdf reader, but now there is the possibility with the editor. Therefore I would love an option to limit the editor to a "reader".

Maybe there is already an option I didn't see?

Hi lkjh,

thanks for the post and suggestions. There is nothing in the Editor that would allow one to disable content Editing in general. You might want to look into setting some document security and locking the PDF such that a password is required to change the document - that should prevent accidental changes: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... dits-to-it

I hope that helps.
