Hi lexchang,

Thanks for the post - I believe that this is actually an issue with the fonts not being embedded. If you try opening this document on a computer without that font installed, Adobe Reader isn't able to render anything.

Please try recreating the PDF with the fonts embedded and let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Hi

Same pdf file(TEST.pdf), same os (win7, chinese editon)

With "PDF X-Change Viewer" & "Adobe Reader", I can see the words.

With "PDF X-Change Editor", I can not see the chinese words.

This is not the question that fonts not being embedded.

Hi lexchang,

That's odd, because as I said before, I found the results different than yours. I will investigate further and will post back when I know more.

However, I would still request that you try embedding the fonts as, even if this is a bug in the Editor, you may find that embedding the fonts is a useful workaround.

Cheers,

Hi

Beacuse the file was made from government.

Users can see words with the other PDF viewer.

I am afraid that I can not require government embed the font in PDF files for me, because I use PDF X-Change Editor.

So I wish you could solve the problem. Thank you.

Hello lexchang,

I just tested your sample file, and it does not display on my machine properly even with Adobe's reader as I do not have the proper font sets installed, so it's always good to embed the fonts if possible (even for government institutions), but in any case - our Viewer displays that document fine and after checking with our devs they've confirmed that this type of file should work properly in build 307 of the Editor (due for release in the new year) as well.

Regards,
Stefan
