PDF-XChange Editor Printer driver missing?

For some reason ever since Installed PDF-XChange Editor I do not have it listed under my Devices and Printers folder.

Why would it be missing?

I am using Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit

The PDF-XChange Editor is not a printer driver - however your PDF-XChange Editor License gives you a license to PDF-XChange Lite using the same serial number - you can download and install here;

Cool so its normal then that there is no PDF-XChange printer driver.

Thanks for the post - the option to download and install the Editor is actually included in the Lite Driver (see attached). So if, in future, you're looking to install/update both, it can be done by downloading and running just the Lite installer.

Hi All:

As a user of PDF Editor 3.0.306.1 for use with CyberFox (FF-64-bit), I was very happy to find this topic and answer. I immediately downloaded PDFXchg-Lite and installed it, but have two problems: 1) it will not accept my PDF Editor serial key, forcing me to just use "Trial", and 2) although it shows up in my printers list, when I choose it and it seems to run, I cannot find any output file.

Questions: A) I am using my old PDFViewer Pro serial key -- what should I use? B) Where does the output go?

Thanks for the post - please try completely uninstalling the software and re-installing using these links:

Please be sure to Copy and Paste your serial key, from your account, into the installers when asked:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/login

That should solve the license key issue.

As for the printer issue, you should be prompted with a Save As dialogue, which should then allow you to choose your save location. Is this not the case?

Hi:

Well, I followed the instructions in the forum, but it did not fix the serial key issue.

I downloaded the PDFXchg Lite file, but not the PDFXchg Viewer, as I am using the PDF-Editor now. I did uninstall both the PDF-Lite and PDF-Editor and rebooted, then reinstalled first the PDF-Editor, then PDF-Lite. It still will not accept the PDFXchg-Viewer-Pro serial key.

I didn't bother checking the PDF output location question, until this is settled...

Now what? Do I have to clutter up my system with the PDF-Viewer, also? Why, since the PDF-Viewer is being discontinued? Please advise. TIA.

Hi Rob,

Was the serial key for the Viewer purchased on or after January 1st 2012? If it was purchased prior to then, then it will not work in the Editor and this would be why you would be receiving watermarks in the Editor.

To remedy this, please log in to your account, select the Upgrade Options tab and upgrade to an Editor license. Alternately, if you have valid, active maintenance, then please email sales@pdf-xchange.com and request a new Editor license.

Are you also getting them from the printer?
