Problems with Excel PDFs and accessibility colors

Post by gerundt »

We save often Excel files as PDF files. In this Excel files we often use yellow background colors to highlight some values.

If we enable the Accessibility option “Override Document Colors” and use the default colors this cells will be completely black!

Problem is that PDF-XChange Editor uses the “Fill color” as background color and the “Text color” as foreground color. But both are “black”!

Could the fill color maybe “gray” as default value? Or have we some other options to fix this?

I attach an example PDF file for testing.

Greetings,
Tim Gerundt

Btw: In the English version you say “Page Background Color” but in the German translation it is only “Hintergrundfarbe” (Background Color). Maybe it should be “Seiten-Hintergrundfarbe” too?

Hi Tim,

Please go to Edit -> Preferences -> Accessibility in the Editor and change the used colours, or enable the "only change colour of black text or line art" if you prefer and this should also help!

Regards,
Stefan
