Whenever use the OCR functionality with "Output Type" set to "Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" on a PDF with more than one page, the resulting text layers are rotated 90° (could reproduce it now with two different PDFs).
(posted here since that error appears in the main application, wasn't sure whether the problem is caused by the plugin part or not)

Re: "Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" rotated
Hello Ginfer,
Thanks for your post. I will pass it to our OCR developers for investigation, but in the mean time could you please test if this happens with documents which might have been rotated in the past, and whether the same happens in our Viewer with OCR-ing the same files?
Regards,
Stefan

Re: "Preserve Original Content and Add Text Layer" rotated
The one PDF certainly was rotated before, the other one I don't know, at least it wasn't rotated not by me, I could still reproduce it when extracting some pages (more than one) and trying to OCR them. I couldn't reproduce it when creating a new document using new images. I did even try to run the PDF-Tools optimization before and setting all boxes (trim box etc.) to zero.
Are you interested in the PDFs where I can reproduce it?

Hi Ginfer,
Yes - certainly if you could attach one or two to this topic that will definitely be useful when I pass this to my colleagues from the OCR team for further investigation.

Stefan

Here you go.
/edit: Just noticed I can reproduce it with a single page too, seems like the one time when the bug didn't occur was for other reasons.

Now I am certain: The bug is indeed because the images are displayed rotated. When I used PDF-Tools to extract and automatically rotate the images for me (Option "re-build … so it matched that which is viewed on screen") and created a new PDF from those images I ended up with a PDF file where the bug wouldn't be triggered.
