Questions on Pending Editor Features

Post by custommobility »

Hi All,
I know you folks can't provide release dates, but can you tell me how far down on the Editor's roadmap the following features are?
  • Comment Styles Palettes for: Rectangle, Line, and Type Writer.
Drag and Drop pages/files on the thumbnails pane to merge PDFs.
Adding custom stamps from within the program (I know about the work-around, but that won't work for our users).
Not Required, but would be nice: An "Flatten & Email" option within the program.
Your Viewer PRO product is 99% of the way there except for the drag and drop, but I know you're putting all of your resources into the Editor now. Who would I have to bribe to get this implemented?

These are all 'imminent - either in the next release at the end of this month or soon thereafter

and Flatten and email are both currently available - are you sure you have the latest release ?

John, good to hear! It sounds like we'll be purchasing about 80 pro licenses next month. :D As for the "Flatten and Email", I meant an option to do both. For instance under the File menu > Send by E-mail... option, add a check box to the dialog to flatten the PDF before sending it as an email. The reason I ask is, a lot of government agencies and non-profits we work with are stuck on archaic versions of Adobe Acrobat, so we typically flatten the markups to make our PDFs more backwards-compatible before emailing them. We've done the two steps separately in the past so it's not a deal breaker, just a suggestion.

and a good one ! :)

Will add this to the 'wish list' for future inclusion ...

Also, I was under the impression that there would be support for adding form fields, as this is one of the biggies that for sure I need in the SDK version whenever it comes out. These items were promised in my initial sales inquiries.

Thanks

Adding form fields is still planned, though I can't give you a firm date yet or how that will look exactly. Most likely it will be in the form of a plugin that adds this functionality.
