Pages Thumbnails works differently under version 3.0.301

In version 2.5 if the Pages Thumbnails is open, it is possible to go to a page in the Thumbnail Pages window using the arrow keys. Eg pressing the right arrow key the next page in Thumbnail Pages is highlighted, but to display that page in the main window is it necessary to press the space bar.

In version 3.0.301, it is also possible to use the arrow keys in the same way. However, pressing the space bar (or any other key I have tried) produces or results in nothing. Ie the main window does not refresh/go to the page which is highlighted in the Thumbnails window.

Can version 3.0.301 be changed so that it works in the same way as version 2.5?
