Importing unique sets of data into a form and saving to multiple PDF files

Post by LFH »

I have searched the forum and Google for an answer to my question with no luck.

I am wondering if it is possible to import an fdf file or tab delimited text file with unique rows of data. Each row of data will fill out the same portion of a Form. Then have each row of data saved to a unique file name.

I can do this with one row of data, but really would like to know if there is a relatively easy way to do this with multiple rows of data being saved to differently named PDF files.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hello LFH,

We are preparing a Populate PDF feature that can fill the PDF file with form fields from the csv file with the Column Name <-> Field Name correspondence. Then the files will be generated for each row of the csv file. Hope that this is what you need.

Cheers,
Alex

Thank you. That sounds like what I am looking for. How will I know when it is done?

Hello LFH,

Keeping the software up to date is usually the best way to get your hands on new features as soon as possible. We do not have a set date for this feature, but when available it will most likely appear as a new button on either the "Form", or "Comment" tab, depending on the final implementation's capabilities.

You can also see our official build history, including changes such as new features here: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/produc ... ro/history
