Hello Loop,
Are you using Kaspersky on that machine, and which is the build number of our application you are trying to install?
Best,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Yes the PC is using Kaspersky. I am not really sure the version of the PDF Xchange Pro, i assume the latest one (4.0185).
Is it possible that the antivirus blocking it from installing?
Thanks for your help!

Hi loop
absolutely there is an issue with Kaspersky. Take a look at this post from another thread. It explains what other users have done to correct.

Re: Installing PDF Xchange Pro 4, hangs part way through
Hi Paul,
Based from the link that you gave, Kaspersky blocked some of the applications from PDF Xchange.
It means that the PDF Xchange has been installed in the computer but some of the app was blocked.
But in my case it is not installed yet, still in the process but it hangs part way through.
Do i also need to add the PDF Xchange pro to the trusted application ?
FYI we are using the Kaspersky Anti Virus 6.0 for workstation.
Thanks for your help!

Hello Loop,
Some of the users in those other topics told us that Kaspersky released a new version a few days ago, that solved the problem with our application.
Can you check whether there are similar updates for the Workstation version you are using?
Also have you tried installing with Kaspersky temporarily disabled?
Best,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
I will update the Kaspersky and try to install it again.
I have tried Kaspersky temporarily disabled, but nothing happen, the option of temporarily disabled is still there. It looked like was not running at all

Hi Riant,
Please let us know if updating helped, and if not - you could try to install from the .msi packages available.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Installing PDF Xchange Pro 4, hangs part way through
Hi Guys,
Still no luck with it
I updated the Kaspersky and try to install it but it was still freeze
I have compared the installer from our company link is using file name PDFX4_wV.exe while the file name from tracker website (Pro 32 Bit) PDFXCPro_86.msi .
seems that they are different version.
Any suggestion guys?
thanks for your help!

Hello Riant,
Yes the file you have there is an older version of the PRO package installer (_withViewer), but we have changed the name of this file quite some time ago, and it is also an .exe installer. I am offering you to try the .msi installer as to avoid whatever is blocking the other one from completing it's job.
The product inside is the same, it's just the installation package that is different.
And the build number too of course - but it's always recommended to have the latest build installed.
So please do download and try with this installation file:

Best,
Stefan
