Build 191 - printing only part of a page

Hello,

We have a problem with build 191. The page that needs to be printed consists of several charts and a frame. It prints just fine with the build 187 but with build 191 only some of the charts get printed. I can send pdf files of this page printed with both 187 and 191 builds to show exactly what I mean. Other than that I am not sure what additional info you need.

Here are the files. Structurally, the page has 4 charts and a frame. As you can see in the build_191.pdf file only one pie chart has been printed.

OK, I downloaded the build 192 and everything worked perfectly on Window XP. However, on Windows 7 64-bit this problem is still there. Also there is a problem with installation on Windows 7 - if there is already PDF-Xchange driver on the system, running the installer removes it from the list of printers; running it second time places it back again. Please, advise.

thanks for the feedback. I have recreated the issue here where the printer is removed by the installer. RT#843: Installer removes printer on update This is a different issue and should be in it's own thread if we discuss it on the forum.

With regards the issue where only part of the page is generated - this is a known Win 7 - 64 bit issue when the app being used is 32 bit, caused by us having to work around other Win 7 MS issues so we had to re-engineer part of the driver process - and these have resulted in this 'knockon' issue because of the work around we created.

In previous releases we had a work around in place to resolve whilst we await a proper fix from MS - however regrettably this had other consequences as described so for 32 bit app's running on 64 bit systems only we have had to switch this work around off and we are searching for an alternative means to resolve.

I stress - this is all a consequence of the original MS problem that we have had to try to work around - not ours and I can ask our driver specialist to post more detail on the issue if it would be of interest. I should point out that there will be no 'quick fix' here. There is a support ticket for this printing issue: RT#844: Build 191 - printing only part of a page

the team have indicated to me the following:

Right now we can do nothing for 32-bit programmes under Windows 7 64-bit.
The issue is we have to do some workarounds to bypass the issue in Windows 7.
All we can do now is to wait for service pack for Windows 7

So we will follow this further at that time.
