CMYK support

Hi,

when will there be a full cmyk support?

I've read in several forums that this is planed for v5 which is estimated for end of 2010 or beginning of 2011. Are there any further infos or details?

Hello Florian,

Ver 5 (of the drivers) and ver3 (of the Viewer) were delayed as you can see.
We are almost ready to release them now, but can not yet provide an exact release date.
In those new versions there should be full CMYK support.

Hello Florian,

V5 of the drivers should be released tomorrow - and attached is a sample file (very basic) - printed through a beta of the same drivers - the rectangle in it is coloured Cyan.

Hi Florian,

while PDF-XChange Standard and PDF-XChange Pro were released using the GDI subsystem PDF-XChange Lite uses XPS.

If an application both can use CMYK AND can print natively to XPS then the resultant PDF should also use CMYK. This is new for us and we would love to hear your feedback on this. Can you test printing to PDF-XChange Lite 2012 and let us know how it goes for you.
