Re: Save and email events not firing in server 2008 64 bit e
Hello Phil,
Our project leader is investigating your case, but he needs some time to set up a test environment and his current estimate is that he will need at least a couple of days to be able to reproduce that (as he is managing quite some other things in the mean time too), so we will get back to you a bit later - hopefully within this week.
I also made a ticket in our system:
#1115: Save and email events not firing in server 2008 64 bit environment
So that we can follow on this one, and resolve it in a timely manner.
Best,
Stefan

Hi
i have restested on client site
after a server reboot the software works
however when the windows service is stopped and started by the remote desktop user the original problem is experienced
i have asked the question about the permissions of the remote desktop user, to see if there are any restrictions caused by the remote desktop user
if you know of any problems experienced by remote desktop users operating the service linked to the virtual printer please advise
regards

the windows service was using log on as a specific user and the following microsoft link explains the problem they were getting
closing the process splwow64.exe resolved it, the microsoft link explains how to set a time out on the splwow64.exe
