Hi,

I Need languages files (ocrdats) for other languages than english, that are compatible with Version 8.0.331.

The files under Language Extension are very old, and at least the english one is much smaller, than the one delivered with the SDK.
I tried using the old Version 7 files, but that only throws E_FAIL on OCR_GetText.

Hi Alex,

unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work with the OCR SDK.

Even the sample OCRDemoCSharp.exe gives an error:

"C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange OCR SDK\Examples\SampleFiles\ocrdats\deu.dat does not exist."

When I select english:

"C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange OCR SDK\Examples\SampleFiles\ocrdats\eng.dat does not exist."

It seems to work, when I rename every xxx_pxvocr.dat file to xxx.dat, removing the "_pxvocr" part.

I don't think, that should be the solution, should it ?

Technically it can be - the language files are the same, though their naming can differ for different projects as it seems, as the inner code uses different prefixes. The newer languages from the pack are made for the Editor thus the prefix. Renaming all of them should do the trick.

Ok, if this is the solution, I can live with it...

Perhaps it would be a good idea to mention it somewhere in the documenation…
