OCR TIF

Hi there,
is there a way to use your ocr-sdk directly with a tif file?
At the moment, I have to convert tif to pdf and use the ocr function with the pdf file.
It would be great if I could skip the first step. (faster)

Hi foodax,
thanks for the post. For now, in it's current state the OCR SDK can only perform the OCR on a PDF so you will still have to convert your TIFF files first. It may be something that is addressed down the road but it is not something that we have on our todo list for the foreseeable future I'm afraid.

I must confirm we have no plans to extend the OCR to any formats other than PDF.
