Reducing PDF File size for e-mail transmission

I want to shrink (reduce resolution and file size) my PDFs for use as e-mail attachments

1. Will PC Tools 4 document optimisation do this for me?
2. If not, is there a program / protocol you can recommend eg Adobe Acrobat or something less advanced ?

Hi.

PDF-Tools will allow you to reduce image files by downsampling and conversion of image fiiles from full colour to grayscale/mono etc and optimise fonts etc - suggest you have a play with the eval version to see if it fits your needs.
