I have "PDF-XChange IE Plugin", integrated in Explorer, but it does not work - "Failed to convert web page" (as expected...)

Is the button a bug or a feature?

Hello Peter2,

Could you please check if the IE add-on is available in the IE itself and does it work there?

Regards.

I can display the button and start the command, but there is an error for "Save as.."

"File not found. Check the filename and try again."

(But not important for me - I don't use IE)

Hello Peter2,

I asked to check this because if the add-on does not work under IE will not work anywhere.

Could you please disable the Protected Mode of IE if it is enabled and see if the problem is resolved.

Now I disabled the option, restarted - and now I get the same message as above: "Failed to convert web page".

But my main question is: Why is the button availabke in Microsoft Explorer? What should it do there?

Hello Peter,

It seems that this appears because Windows explorer and Internet explorer share some files, as our plugin is not the only one that will appear here:

Unfortunately, our IE plugin is not designed to work within Windows Explorer, so it serves no purpose in being enabled here, and can be ignored. It is unlikely that we can remove this, as it is added into this list by Windows, however we are looking into it.

Kind regards,
