Hello,

i am using PDF-Xchange pro 5 and office2pdf 5 to create pdf from MS Word 2007.
When i check the option "change file extension to pdf" in the options menu in the sektion "links", the extensions of .docx-files will be changed to .dpdf.
Is there a way to fix this problem?
Does PDF-Xchange 2012 work with docx-files?

thanks for the report. It would appear that we are not converting .docx files correctly. Can you confirm this? If this is correct you should find that .doc files change to .pdf correctly but that .docx converts to .dpdf.

Is this what you are seeing? Can you send your document that we may use it for our tests?

I have raised a support request ticket for this. Please refer to RT#1649: .docx files do not convert extensions to .pdf in Office Addin. when asking about the progress of this.

i have no problem to convert the docx-files to pdf, it is just about the link in the document.
I post a link to ../xyz.docx in a word document. pdf-xchange convert it to pdf and change the link into ../xyz.dpdf.

When i change the link to xyz.doc, pdf-xchange will change the link corectly to xyz.pdf.

It seem's like pdf-xchange just change the last 3 letters to pdf and ignore that the extension sometimes has 4 or more letters.

Hi axelisler,

yes that's what we see. It is the conversion of the links in the document. You have identified this correctly. It is changing only the last 3 characters and needs to be changed to accommodate 4 letter file extensions also.

We'll post here when this is done.

It was Thanksgiving in Canada (where our head office is) yesterday so most of the devs there didn't work and that delayed the new build.

We are actually working on a specific issue with digital certificates/timestamp servers, and once this is resolved we will publish build 206. So for the moment the Live update is working correctly in notifying you there are no updates available

i just tried the actual Version from your download page, it is the Current Version 5.0.265 (Updated on 11 Oct 2012).
The bug with the filename in the link is still there.
Nothing happend?

i post a example to explain my problem.
i hope you understand now. the creation of links to any files does work fine, but the automatic change of the fileextension in the link make problems.
we have many many word documents and want to convert all to pdf, so all filenames have also be changed from .doc or .docx or .docm to .pdf

the samples you provided were not created using build 265 but 263. The fix is in build 265 so can you please update to 265 and test again? Before sending the files please check the document properties to confirm the build of the driver that created them.

sorry, my mistake. I load the update before lunch and create the files after.
I forgot to install the update first.
Now i've made a test and everything will work fine.

Thank you very much, this will save many houres of changing documentformats and filenames.
