As evolution of another suggestion I want to try a proposal more detailed.

The best (most flexible) settings for Office2PDF would be "folder depending print settings".

First step:
Create different folders like
"Word PDF 1.4 A file props"
"Word PDF 1.7 Watermark"
"Word PDF 1.4 no print"
"Excel PDF 1.4 DIN A3"

Second step:
Add all these folders to the monitoring-feature.

Third step:
Define and store for each folder different printer settings:
- For folder "Word PDF 1.4 A file props" define a setting which creates PDF 1.4A-files and sets the file-properties like Author, Subject, ... and sets output-folder to "Output A".
- For Folder "Word PDF 1.7 Watermark" define settings for version 1.7 and place a watermark "Draft" in it and sets output-folder to "Output B".
- For Folder ...

Fourth step:
The user(s) feed the different input-folders with their files and get different types of output: That what they want.

I believe this would increase the service capability of this tool in a fantastic way.

What to you think about it?

Hi Peter,

I find your suggestions interesting. We have in the past also considered such features but have not to date given it priority high enough to actually implement it.

I'm not sure if/when we will be overhauling Office2PDF but your suggestions certainly will be taken into consideration, in fact we have created a formal Feature Request around this:

Hi Peter,

This is a long term FR, and as such it has not been worked on yet. We will consider dedicating resources for it once v3 of the Viewer is ready.

Thanks for the post - our primary Development focus is still the Editor and has been for a long time now, so I'm afraid that this is still stalled for now. Also, please note that we cannot guarantee the implementation of these features, only that, when the time comes for new feature implementations in Office2PDF, these will be looked at and evaluated.

I cannot say, for sure, when feature implementations for Office2PDF will start, as the Editor, Editor SDK and the new version of PDF-Tools will be our primary focus for now.
