Colors incorrect when printing Word graphics

I have a case where some yellow word graphics are printing clear and some shaded areas are also printing clear. Included is a test document and its resulting pdf (Word 2007 docx). Any way to get these to print the shading or yellow color?

I updated by print driver to build 197 and it printed the same way. I also did a "Save as PDF" from Word 2007 directly. This did portray the colors correctly. I have included the PDF from Save as PDF here. Hopefully this will help debug the issue.

Thanks for that Greg, what would also help would be the original Word file from which you are converting this. Can you send that also as zip file please?

The originally posted zip should contain the docx file and the pdf from PDF XChange. Let me know if there is a problem with it.

Hi geeffland,

sorry I missed that. I see the same thing when I try to convert both using the Office Addin and the File --> Print method.

I have passed this on to the development team to investigate and raised a Support Request Ticket to track it's progress. Please quote "RT#1191: Tones in PDF not matching original docx" when corresponding in regards this issue. I will keep you abreast of developments as they come to me.

Just downloaded and installed 4.0198 and tried the problem posted in this thread. The new build still does not create the yellow or pattern shaded portion of that diagram. [Included 7z file of PDF created with build 198.]

Also note that the revision notes only go up to build 4.0196 on the website, so other than this thread I have no way of knowing if a fix has been implemented.

Is there a better way to track issues and fixes?

Hi geeffland,

the item is tracked through the ticket system and the ticket RT#1191: Colors incorrect when printing Word graphics - this was not slated for build 198 on that ticket. The team have subsequently indicated on the ticket that this has now been resolved and that the fix will be available in build 199 expected this week end.

My apologies for the misunderstanding.
