Save as Dialog behind Word

We have a few people that when using the PDF XChange add-in for Word 2007, use "Convert To PDF" and everything works fine, except that the Save As Dialog shows up behind Word in Windows 7. The taskbar item does flash but the user originally thought it was locking up since the dialog never appeared (since it was behind Word).

Any ideas on how to get the Save As dialog to come to the front automatically?

thanks for the post and excellent question.

As I understand it, Windows 7 has some very strict rules regarding applications grabbing focus of the Window and that this is the cause of the issue. The intention is to stop nagware and other malicious software popping windows up in the user's face.

Our development team is going to look into what can be done to change this behaviour. There is a ticket for this (internal only) RT#1132: Save Dialogue opens in background.
