Setting destination for generated bookmarks

When using PDF-Tools 4.0 Bookmarks tool to generate bookmarks for each page in a file, the destination for each bookmark seems to be set to the bottom of the page.

Is there any way to change this? It would be more useful if each bookmark were set to the top of the page.

Thanks,
Andrew.

Hello alshaw,

Thank you for the post and welcome to our forums. In PDF-Tools, you are able to choose custom locations for the bookmark to point to:

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply, but if I choose a view mode other than "Fit Page" the bookmarks jump to show the page from the bottom up, leaving the top of the page out of view.

I have attached a before and after sample files.

Hello alshaw,

Thank you for the post. If you choose fit width, the vertical view of the document is ignored, or inherited from the current view.

Cheers!

Sorry, but I am still do not understand.

Other than "Fit Page", what setting should I use to generate bookmarks that will jump to the tops pages?

My preference would be to retain the current zoom setting.

Thanks,
Andrew.

Hi alshaw,

You will need to choose the "Custom" View mode option and set the top offset to zero such as in the screenshot below:

I hope that helps!
