Issue in german translation from translater

Hi

as I did for the PDFViewer I downloaded the current German language file from translators website. But in the link for "Build 189" there is a file from June 2010 - and older than the installed language file. Something wrong?

Yes Peter,

In your initial post you say the Viewer - so I provided the Viewer File.
As for the printing Driver - the things there do not change much in terms of menus and things that need translation, so it is possible that the version from June is the current and actual one. (we do make changes to the drivers every build but they are mostly in the internal "mechanics" and do not affect the UI which is quite permanent).

We do have direct contact and Paul has written to Mike already.

Sorry - absolutely my fault

But the reason why I was asking is:
PDF Printer - Settings - Save - When file exists: "Ask for new filename" -> has no German translation.

Hi,

the short answer is: Yes, this was the latest translation, I've added the missing string now. Please redownload the file.

The long answer: With every new release, I'm comparing the included English template file to the one of the old version. If there are new string, I'll update my translation accordingly. If nothing changes and I don't get aware of the string, I'll only change the version number in my blog.
While adding translations for strings, which are not included in the English template is no problem in most cases for PDF-XChange Printer and PDF Tools, it's impossible for the viewer (which contains some English parts in the document properties) and the shell extension (which isn't translatable at all at the moment), because of the different translation method.
