Software won't load--get message printers operation failed

I just purchased PDF Xchange V4 print driver and before the screen for entering my serial number I get message "printers operation could not be completed"

Hi Andy - can you please advise what version of PDF-XChange (Lite/Standard/PRO) and what Version of Windows you are using ?

Also :

You can temporarily install and use PDF-XChange V3 and use this until tomorrow when our dev team are available to investigate - your serial number is compatible with both V3 and V4.

The version I bought was Lite and my computer is Windows 2000 XP.
