Save file name from variable or clipboard text

Post by akearns »

PDF-XChange Lite 7.0
I'm wanting to silently save to PDF from a Database program, using the current Invoice number field as the PDF file name. I can copy the number to the clipboard from the app, but don't appear to be able to use this from any on the PDF-XChange Save Macros. Is it possible? Do I need PDF-XChange Standard? Can it be done via titrules.js?

Hello Akearns,

I am afraid that this is not currently possible. We have seen some requests for this in the past, and have considered such functionality. Unfortunately however, this is not something we are working on at the present.

Kind regards.

Thanks Daniel. As I thought :(

As a work-around, I can save as DocName and then use a script to copy the file as my_invoice_no.

Cheers

Thank you.
