When I go to Xchange Printer Driver Properties in 2"Save" section then I can specify the File Name pattern.
I prefer:
%[Date] %[Time]-%[DocName]
It works.
However after printing (and browser closing and browser restarting and print start again) the entry field "File Name" is set back to
%[DocName]
Similarly it does to store permanently the ON/OFF state of the "Show Save as Dialog" checkbox.
How can I tell XChange Printer driver to (automatically) remember its settings beyond a restart?

Hello mattad,
By design, if the preferences are set from within the application from which you are printing - File> Print> Printing Preferences - then those preferences will only be remembered during that session. In order to save those settings, please to go Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers, right click on the PDF-XChange printer and choose "Printing preferences". Adjust the settings from the following screen, then click Apply. You should find your naming macros to be retained.
Cheers!

It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.
