I have installed PDF Tools Version 7.0.324.2, which includes PDF-XChange Printer, as a Wine ("Windows on Linux") application.

Code: Select all

System information:
    Wine build: wine-3.0
    Platform: x86_64
    Version: Windows 7
    Host system: Linux
    Host version: 4.15.2-041502-generic

user@pc ~ $ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=LinuxMint
DISTRIB_RELEASE=18.3
DISTRIB_CODENAME=sylvia
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia" # (based on Ubuntu Xenial 16.04)
PDF-Change Printer appears as a Wine program entry, and I can start up the program. However, so far I found no way to create a corresponding virtual printer entry within the printer menu.

Is it possible to install PDF-XChange Printer V7 as a Wine printer? Thank you.

Hello Don_Pedro,

The Wine Experts in our team are in the Canadian office - so I will need to check with them first before we can provide a meaningful answer to your enquiry.
And today is a public holiday in there, so the reply will be delayed slightly longer than usual!

Regards,
Stefan

Hello Don_Pedro,
WINE does not support Windows printer drivers.
