Multiple Printer Installations causes Overlays to stop working

Post by merome »

I used 2 Printers with different profiles, one with a graphic layer in the background (stationery).

Since updated (from windows 8.1) to windows 10 this is happening:

I install the first printer, import my profile and printing with the stationery works fine.
Then I install the 2nd printer and from now on printing with background file isn't working. At none of the two printers. Reimport printer profile doesn't solve the problem.

And - very interesting - when I delete the 2nd Printer everthing is working fine again.

This behaviour could be reproduced.

What to do now?

Hi merome,

Thanks for the post, however, I'm not sure that I understand the issue - could you please provide a clearer and more detailed description of the problem?

Thanks

I'll try.

The short version is that installing more than one pdf-printers makes the background-layer function (in my german version: Überlagerungen) not working.

Maybe there are other functions not working too but I didn't noticed that.

I hope I could make this clear?!

Hi merome,

I'm still not sure that I understand - can you please specify what you mean by "background layer"?

Thanks,

I'm using a german version and there it's called "Überlagerungen". In the settings menu it's located between watermark and security.

It's like using a stationery...

Hi merome,

The translation that I'm getting, for "Überlagerungen" is "Overlays" - does that sound right?

If so, I'm not seeing any issue with that here - can you please advise on the Version and build that you're using (found under the About tab of the printing preferences dialgoue)?

Thanks,

Also, as a note, I've moved this to a new topic, as it was not related to the previous topic.
