Hi Raymond,

Thanks for the post - can you please advise on all of the following:

1) Which of the two printers are you using; XChange Lite, or XChange Standard?

2) What Build are you using?

3) What application are you printing from?

Thanks,
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Hello Raymond,

Can you please try to tell the original application that sends the print job to print in e.g. batches of 100-150 pages at a time?
Also set up our printing drivers to save all printed results to the same file name (e.g. binder.pdf) and to "Append to existing" when the file already exists - and see if this will allow you to print all 4000 pages to a single PDF document.

Stefan

Hello Stefan:

I can't to do yours suggestion because we do the batch at mid-night for handle daily batch report output. And that was do many report at once time (Use AS400 DB Server output queue function).

Can have other alternative method provide to me??

I give you another hint hope can help you to provide a suggestion for me.
1. I try to use WinXP To do same job except Win7, that can output 4000 pages report completely.
2. I try to export the report txt file and open by Win7(64bit)+office2003, then print the report to PDF XChange 2012 printer, that is worked.

So I think this issue is due to Win7(64bit) + AS400 DB Server, do you have other customer that still have this problem and can solve finally??

Hope you can help me, because my company have a project that use PDF XChange Standard (paid version), and now is hold on due to this problem.

Raymond

Hello raymondinnt,

Thanks for the follow up.
Then can you please share with us the set up of our drivers that you are using, in particular what the "Save" settings are set to, and provide a screenshot if possible?

We suspect that e.g. our driver tries to write to the same file name thousands of times and this is causing the issue.

Hi Stefan:

Now I solve the problem for print 4000 pages pdf because I set the destination path to another harddisk. Now I use only one harddisk to do the task, that was worked and can print 4000 pages pdf file.

But still have one problem, why sometime the pdf printing will halt at Win7 (64 bit)??

Can help me to fix this problem?!

Thanks

Hello Reymond,

Glad to hear that you've managed to print the 4000 page document.
As for halting - without seing a crash dump - it will be hard to say why it happened, but the most probable reason is that you are printing thousands of files - there was a memory issue that caused our drivers to halt.
