Watermark settings

Post by Puffolino »

Just playing around with the "PDF XChnage Printer" driver and watermarks seem to be a fine thing...

Anyhow the page selection for the "Print On" column could be more effective to do things like "all even pages from 2 to %[Pages]-1". It's not that important but would offer additional possibilities.

Hello Puffolino,

Thank you for the suggestion. Just to clarify, are you requesting that the watermarking of PDF through PDF-XChange 2012 function more like in the Editor?

This may be possible, though further discussion with the dev team is required.

Cheers!

Hi Patrick,

the editor functions are cool, but maybe to much for a printer driver. Anyhow, it could be interesting to include/exclude the title/last page in the settings from the existing rules.

One possibility would be to separate the page settings into three parts:
1. All, None, Odd, Even or Range of Pages
2. Use of First Page: Include, Exclude, Neutral
3. Use of Last Page: Include, Exclude, Neutral

"Include" means that the page is forced to get the watermark, "exclude" that it definetly get no watermark and "neutral" that it will get a watermark, if it is included in the first option part.

Okay, this seems to be a little bit complicate as well, but would give us a lot of possibilities

Cheers.

Hi Puffolino,

Passed this for consideration by the drivers experts as well!

Cheers,
