PDF-XChange Printer Lite 2012 pdfSaver. What does it do?

Just installed the demo version. Be grateful if someone could tell me what pdfSaver or pdf-saver or PDF saver or pdfSaver5L.exe does in Printer Lite 2012?

It seems to be different from the pdfSaver provided with PDF-XChange Standard. Perhaps someone could highlight the differences and explain why it is useful in Lite 2012.

The manual re Lite pdf-saver has this

"PDF-Saver Technology is a feature of PDF-XChange 2012 which has the additional benefit of speeding up the initial temporary file generation process and allowing the user to continue to queue new jobs - prior to final file assembly and generation"

The manual re standard pdfSaver has:

"PDF-Saver Technology is a unique feature of PDF-XChange Version 5 which allows printing jobs to be combined prior to the final PDF file being generated – (e.g. to join 3 pages of Excel spreadsheet, 5 slides of PowerPoint presentation and 10 pages of Word document into one PDF document). "

The Lite 2012 printer driver has:

1. no option to use pdfsaver
2. no option to view job management.

Hi Dave,

PDFSaver, both Lite and Standard are what actually creates the PDF. You are right that Lite does not allow management of print jobs, that is what Standard is for. There is not really any functionality of PDFSaver Lite that you can access the way you can in Standard, it exists simply to facilitate creating the PDF.
