Help files ..?

Post by richard george »

There doesn't appear to be any help for the various settings in the print driver. Some are easy to figure out; others not so much! Any chance of publishing the html version - or better yet, a pdf version?

Have you tried this page:

Hi Richard,

are you finding what you need with those online help pages? Did you manage to download a PDF version? Can we help you further here?

I think so.

While on the subject of help files, and I apppreciate it's a question on the editor, but I can't see anything in the help that tells me how to change the scale ratio for the dimensioning tools ...? I've got it set to millimeters, but the editor persists in a scale ratio of 1mm -> 1m ..?

Don't know if it helps for you, but
- if you select "centimeter" instead of "millimeter" (via Edit > Preferences > Measurement > Units and Rulers),
- then the Scale Ratio switches from "1 mm = 1 m" to "1 cm = 1 m".

Hi guys,

Thanks for the posts - the ratio is something that can be set with the Properties Toolbar enabled (Ctrl + E) and one of the measurement tools active. If you change the ration from 1mm = 1m to something more desirable, this should change and remember the setting for you. Is this not the case, or am I perhaps not entirely understanding the problem?

Cheers,

Hi Will,
It was not immediatly clear to me that you can also type your own values in the same boxes where you select the measurement units. I only thought about clicking the little triangles/arrows to select the desired measurement unit.
If you click onto the values at the left of these arrows, you can change these values. Good to know that...
Maybe the 'print screen' in attachment, can be a bit of help to Richard.
Regards.

Certainly does; the problem I had (not sure if it was a default or not) was that although the Properties toolbar was enabled, it wasn't visible (collapsed) and I didn't see it. Having seen the screenshot, I knew what I was looking for and found it.
