When printing to the PDF-XChange Lite 4 printer, the default view in Adobe Reader is to fit the entire page to the window rather than fitting the page to the width of the window like most any other PDF does when opening it. Is there any way possible to change this behavior? This is causing problems for us with our imaging department where they need pages by default to open using the the fit to width of window option, not fit the entire page in the window. I know in Adobe Reader preferences you can change from automatic to have it fit the page to width, but really the fix needs to be in how the document is created in the first place.
Is there any way to make the printed documents fit to width by default rather than fit the whole page in the window?

Hello mihlfeld & associates, inc.,
When creating files with the Lite driver they will be created with default page display settings like e.g. initial display to be at 100% zoom. You can't change those in the Lite driver, but in the PDF XChange Standard you can.
If using the Standard driver is not an option - then change the settings in the Viewer. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Page Display and change the way you want files to be opened initially.
Best,
Stefan

Re: PDF-XChange Lite 4 and Default PDF View
Thanks for the information. I believe we will just need to move back to using docuPrinter as they've been too accustomed to how it works, and we're not going to attempt to tell everyone to change their default reader settings when every other PDF they open properly uses page width as the default rather than fit page to window.
EDIT: It looks like if somehow we could mix the version 4 and version 2012 printers that we could get the results we need. The 2012 printer does by default save PDF files to fit to width rather than fitting the page. We can't use this product, however, as it lacks the ability to append to existing documents. It also by default saves to A4 paper size rather than Letter in the US region. Trying to tell all employees to change from A4 to Letter in preferences doesn't work because invariably there are people who fail to do it. It causes problems when we have people trying to print PDFs created to A4 format rather than Letter for us. The version 4 PDF printer by default does do merge and Letter size, however. It seems like the 2012 printer was 1 step forward and two steps back.

Re: PDF-XChange Lite 4 and Default PDF View
We will keep an eye on the next release to see where the features line up. I'm hoping that between the features we've seen possible with the V4 (proper letter paper size default for US region rather than A4 and the ability to merge) and V5 printer (defaulting to fitting page width rather than entire page on screen in viewer) that a single version will have the important features we need all in one version rather than split up between a few major versions.
