Hide non-functional indicators

Post by Parps » Wed Oct 17, 2012 12:29 pm

Hi Chris,

In the viewer I am creating all the command bars are locked, making that the user cannot alter or move these bars. However the two visual indicators for moving and resetting/customizing are still visible. See attachment.

Is it possible to hide these indicators? They are not functional and it might confuse the users.

Best regards,
Koen

Hi Koen!

Since Save is already greyed out and the bar commands should be inactive, why not just hide the toolbar that has those on it?

O, that grayed out save button might be confusing. It is just an example of a customized command bar and not the final design.

I am trying to create a single custom command bar that will be available for the user. It will be retrieved with the LoadSettings command when the viewer is opened. All other toolbars are hidden. In the same ActiveX Viewer settings file the command bars are locked to the user cannot alter them.

I am just wondering if it is possible to hide both the grab handle for moving and the down arrow as they will not work. It might be a bit confusing.

Cheers,
Koen

Hi Koen!

Those controls can't be hidden or changed. It's a "Windows thing."
