Is there a preferred way to resize the AX control

Post by fiscal » Sat Nov 19, 2011 5:03 am

I am trying to tidy up cosmetic items at present, and I have found that the AX does not like some of the resize templates I have tried.

I have a list on the left and the AX on the right.

I have not been able to get EasyResize or Mike Hansens templates to work with the control. The standard clarion resize template set to spread works to a degree, however it moves the two controls away from the top edge, only by 1/2 inch, but enough to make it look like there is something wrong. I tried to override the control strategy, but this does not work.

Is there a preferred way to resize the control?

Hi Tony!

Are you using an OLE or REGION control? That afffects a lot!

If you are using the REGION control, please change to using a predefined OLE control. That makes everything work better.

Attached is the that demonstrates the kind of resizing you describe. It is predicated on using an OLE control instead of the REGION control. Check out the Clarion resizer template Control Strategy Overrides.
