i can't install RXC.exe....

i can't install RXC.exe....

I want to distribute RXC.exe included in Raster-XChange SDK(RASTER XCHANGE SDK LOCAL V.1.02039 24 AUG, 2007 ) for
Vista 32bit Version(Windows Vista Ultimate 32Bit).

I use sample execution order described in Raster-XChange User Manual (RasterXChange.pdf),

But error message appeared like “Error loading rxcdrv.dll. Can´t find the module!”.


Execution order is like below. ( I changed “/key” to serial number received from Tracker Software)

C:\RXC.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART /COMPONENTS="Engine,Raster-XChange
driver,Help,Languagess" /DIR="C:\Program Files\Raster-XChange\"
/Key:"XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" /UserName:"I am" /Organization:"Tracker
software" /UserEmail:"my@email.com" /InstallProfile:"C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Templates\my Profile1.pxp"

Same Error also appeared when I not used silent install method.

When Error appeared, If I execute sample1.exe included in Raster-XChange SDK,
Sample1.exe make runtime error and end.

Hi,

Could you please run the installer with the /L command line switch and locate the log files created and zip and post here - they will be named something like this :

Prninstaller.log
unins000.dat

I downloaded a new release version (RASTER XCHANGE SDK LOCAL V.1.05.44 7 SEP, 2007) and Installed this new version.
There is not any problem in installing, but the Same bug that sample1.exe is not executed still remains.

I change initialization part of sample1.exe source code to like below to print out debug message.

OutputDebugString( _T("1") );
RXC::IPrinterFactoryPtr factory(__uuidof(RXC::PrinterFactory));
OutputDebugString( _T("2") );
printer_ = factory->Printer[L"", L""];
OutputDebugString( _T("3") );
printer_->ProtectionKey = L"Your protection key here";
OutputDebugString( _T("4") );
printer_->ProtectionDevCode = L"Your protection developer code here";
OutputDebugString( _T("5") );

Sample1.exe execute “OutputDebugString( _T(“2”));” and print out debug message.
But Sample1.exe didn’t execute “Printer_ = factory->Printer[L””,L””];” and program exit.

Hi,

Just to confirm - you install the SDK release and all functions as expected - then you install the Client installer over the top - and problems start to occur ?

If so - please download this Trace build and use DebugView as previously outlined once you have installed the Client over the original SDK and please post the zipped log files as previously - hopefully this will provide an insight into the problem

I tested new version RXC_Trace you uploaded like below.
I set up Windows Vista again in my laptop for test and just installed MS Office 2007.
I didn’t install other application.

<Test procedure>
1. Format a laptop(Sony Vaio VGN-S57LP).
2. Install Windows Vista Ultimate K.
3. Install MS Office 2007 Korean Enterprise (include Word,Powerpoint,Exel).
4. Install RXC_t.exe
C:\RXC_t.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART /COMPONENTS="Engine,Raster-XChange driver,Help,Languagess" /DIR="C:\Program Files\Raster-XChange\" /Key:"xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx" /UserName:"I am" /Organization:"Tracker software" /UserEmail:"my@email.com" /InstallProfile:"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Templates\my Profile1.pxp"
5. Install RXC_SDK_t.exe in a computer for development.
6. Copy sample1.exe file from development computer to laptop.
7. Run Debug View.
8. Try run sample1.exe in laptop but it is not run.

I attached log file which DebugView made.
