Problem with VB6 and closing application

Post by sunseeker » Thu Aug 02, 2007 6:14 am

Hi Support,

i have a problem when i close my app. Under WinXPSP2 if i close my app in dev-mode, it often hang! If i use the taskmanager and close the rxccom.exe-process, my app ends. Is there any special command to disconnect my app from the ePrinter?

Greetings from raining germany
Heiko

Hi Heiko,

Our project Manager is now back from his annual leave and is investigating all your problems - however for this one he has asked for a small working project - both compiled and in source that displays the issue - with some simple instructions too.

Please email usrfiles@tracker-software.com if the license info is included in your code and also please do zip - or it will not get through our spam/virus filters etc

Thanks

Hi Heiko,

We cannot recreate - so it would help to have a small example that shows the problem.

Hi John,

i think, i know where the problem is. If my app crash, then there is a problem by reconnect or disconnent to the ePrinter at the next time. For example.

1. Start app.
2. Crash by windows
3. App is closes.
4. Start app (works)
5. End app (hang till i close the ePrinterService)
6. Start app
7. Close app
8. Start app
9. Crash
10. Start app (hang till i close the ePrinter Service)

This is not a great problem becorse i hope my app crash´s not on consumer pc :o)

I think we stop it here. Maybe you can consider it in one next update that this phenomenon can appearance.

THX for your time!
