Select text on multiple pages

Good Day,

I'm evaluating PDF-XChange viewer to see if it meets my requirements.

One requirement is, that I must be able to select text programmatically, in the same was as you can select text manually.

If a user selects text on 2 or more pages, I get the notification, the selected text, the pages, start, length, etc...
That all works fine.

When I try to select text programmatically, I only found the "Select" method of the text object, which lets me select text on one page. That works nice for selecting text on 1 page. But I can't find a way to select text on multiple pages.
Is there another method?
Or some setting so that I can 'extend' selections?
Some other idea or workaround?

Good Day,

I found a reasonable workaround.
Create highlight annotations using the same color as the text selection, and delete the highlight annotations again when you start to select some different text, when you don't need it anymore. Not ideal, but works...
