Joining documents changes timestamp on notes

If I add a popup note to a document, the time of the note creation shows in the properties and the upper right corner of the note frame. If I then join this document to another document, the time of the note creation changes to the time I joined the documents together. Attached is an example of the time getting changed. When I first created the note I copied the time into the notes box. After merging the document to another document, the time shown on the frame is different.
