Hello,

I have a problem of a text field with a number format of decimal places.
when I enter "0.01" in a text field that applied a number format of "1" decimal place,PDF XChange-Viewer-ActiveX shows "0." but not "0.0".

Is there any way of solving the problem ?

I have created a ticket in our internal system for this case:
#1556: Viewer 2.5.203 -XFA - Issue with number of decimal places shown

So that it can be properly followed, and we will post back here when it is resolved.

What I noticed is that this only happens if the value is in the range 0.(0)1-0.04(9) - if you enter 0.00, or any value over 0.05 - that will properly be rounded and shown with 1 digit after the decimal point.

We will enter 0.00 in order to avoid this problem for the moment.

I do not have the exact date of the release of build 314, but it will be an update of all our products - both end user and developer ones, so just check our site from time to time and when you notice the build numbers have changed - you will be able to download the fixed one.

We checked that this problem was fixed in case of a text field that is applied a number format of "1" decimal place. ( 0.(0)1-0.04(9) is correctly shown 0.0. )

However, in case of "3" decimal place , it seems an other problem is still occurred.

We expects [0.000] is displayed when we enter [0.0001 - 0.0004] to a text field that is applied "3" decimal place.
Unfortunately the PDF X-Change Viewer SDK shows [ 0.0 ].

Thanks for confirming that the original issue is fixed.
I see that other products show all 3 zeroes after the decimal point as expected, so I will pass this to our devs for fixing. The ticket number for this issue is:
#3680: Editor 318.1: Does not display three digits after the decimal point for a properly set up field.

We uses from 1 to 6 digits after the decimal point.

If you have a schedule of release including this fix , Could you please tell us ?
If not, we would like check your site, occasionally.

There is still no update in the ticket, so the technical information will probably be added later, but I would assume that this fix will apply to any number of digits. The fix will be available in build 319 of the Editor, but we still do not have a scheduled release date for that.

will this error also be fixed in PdfXChange Viewer?

Some of out customers has reported the same problem and they cannot fill in an application form for social assistance.
The field-value changes after input from 123,12 EUR to 12312,00 EUR - which is a realy bad problem and cannot be fixed by the user...

Hello Hans-Peter,

The Viewer has not had any new features in over two years now, and I think there was just one or two fixes for issues, but we do not anticipate to fix form specific issues in it - as the way forms were handled in the Viewer was rather complicated and fixes were very hard even when it was our current product. I would recommend you to consider switching to the Editor SDK - as this is the one we currently maintain and which we can fix issues in.
