4.0 Pro owner getting Buy Logo after installing new Viewer

I am a registered owner of PDF-Xchange 4.0. Just downloaded the newer version of Viewer. Now my printouts are showing the "Click to Buy Now" logo. Thought it was free.

How do I stop it from printing?

Also, are there any updates to 4.0?

Have you entered your registration key in Preferences, Registration?

I think PDF-XChange Pro and PDF-XChange Viewer Pro are different products. If you don't use any of the Pro features in the free viewer then you shouldn't be getting any watermarks.

Hello gbeckerman,

If you have a valid serial for the viewer then it should not be saving files with "DEMO" stamps.
(please DO NOT post your serial in the forums)

Serials that our viewer will accept are for the Viewer PRO (beginning with PVP20-) and PDF XChange PRO (PXP40-).
If you have placed your serial in the Viewers Edit -> Preferences -> Registration menu, and it is still saving files with "DEMO" then there might be a typing error in the serial. Contact us at support@pdf-xchange.com and we will check it.

Ah. In this case, I merged two PDF Files. This seems to available only in Viewer Pro which I do not do ofter. Am I correct. What is the US price for Viewer if I am already a Xchange Pro 4.0 version.

If I want to go back to the free version, what do I do?

Also, how do I tell what version of Pr0 4.0 I am using? And, are there any new updates?

Well when you have a ver.4 PRO serial number it should work in the Viewer as well, there is no need to pay any extra, just go to the Viewers Edit -> Preferences -> Registration, place your serial numebr there and you will have a working Viewer PRO.

As for the Driver version to go Start -> Control Panel -> Printers (and Faxes in XP) and locate our PDF XChange printer, in it's properties in the About tab there should be written a build number. if lower than 165 then yes there is a newer version, which you can download from this direct link: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/download/PDFX4.zip

Thanks. I am now updated to 165. And, the registration number is in both xchange and viewer. Is there a test in viewer that I can use to see if I still get the logo?

In the free version of the viewer, the PRO functions are marked with a "PRO icon". In Preferences -> Registration there's a checkbox which allows you to hide the PRO functions from the viewer.
If you have the PRO version, the PRO functions don't differ from the default functions (no "PRO icon" anymore) and in Preferences -> Registration you'll have a checkbox, which allows you to disable the add in the top right corner instead.

Hi Gary,

For the Viewer, open a doument, and use any of the document menu items and save as. Close Viewer and reopen it with the new file, If the logo is gone your good to go.

For the Print-Driver, goto to you printers list; right-click the PDF-XChange 4 icon; Click Properties and [Test Page] which should convert the windows standard printer test page to pdf and if there are no logo's you're again good to go.

re: test page - I tried it , worked. you can choose any webpage or document and choose the PDF-XChange 4 printer to convert it as a test.

Gary, How did you apply the update to 165?

Check for updates, installed over top prev installation, or control panel uninstall old version, reboot, install new version?

Yes. I did install the 4.0 1650update over the earlier older version. I will reboot first to see if that clears it up. Then I will try uninstalling 4.0 and reinstalling with the new exe in the zip file.
