Hello celk2010,

You seem to be using our Viewer which has not been actively developed for several years now.
Please try downloading and installing it's successor - the PDF XChange Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/produc ... nge-editor
And you should see that it handles your bookmarks much better!

Kind regards,
Stefan

In pdf-xchange Editor, the bookmarks really works well
maybe I have been accustomed to viewer, addicted to its simplicity, fast-response and little icons saving space
when I only need reading or adding some simple annotations, viewer will always be my first choice

You must know AutoCAD 2010, ribbon buttons compared to traditional buttons in earlier revisions
but AutoCAD 2010 have one method to change back to traditional buttons by a simple click
Will pdf-xchange Editor also develop such a method to quickly change back to viewer appearance?
Thank you!

In PDF-XChange Editor you can switch back to the "classic toolbars" by clicking the "UI Options"-icon at the right in the title bar and clicking "Switch to classic toolbars".

If you like, you can additionally reduce the large icons in the toolbars by that same icon and clicking "Customize toolbars", then clicking the Options-tab and marking the check-box at "Reduce large icons in toolbars".

Regards.

Yes, I think that many people still love the looks and the simplicity of PDF-XChange Viewer, but it seems like the foundations of this application were not strong enough for further development. So, Tracker Software decided to build its successor, PDF-XChange Editor, at new from the ground up. It looks different, but it has plenty of editing features, and after using it for a while you will easily get used to it.

Best regards.

Hello Willy Van Nuffel,

Many thanks for the help! Indeed - we had to build the Editor pretty mch from the ground up, as the technologies used in the Viewer were starting to show their age even 6-7 years ago when we stopped developing it!

@celk2010 - as Willy said - it will take some getting used to, but you can still extensively customize the Editor, and make it to your liking!

Kind regards,
Stefan

Indeed, nothing prevents you from using both applications as needed.
