Outline Boxes around all elements

Hi guys, I've had this issue across various version and every computer I've tried it on (maybe 4 or 5).
Using Windows 10.
It's particularly annoying on plan drawings, where every little note or text tag such as dimensions on plans has a box around it, and often overlaps and clashes.
I cant find how to turn this off

Hi,

Boxes or frames showing around text in PDF's coming from CAD software, is a known problem with PDF-XChange Viewer.
There is a work-around by hiding or removing all these 'comments':

A better solution would be to switch to PDF-XChange Editor (because PDF-XChange Viewer has become an obsolete application):
