Hello,
I just changed my PC, I now have a Windos 10 64bits.
my PDF xChange Viewer version is 2.5
I can no longer paste commented elements and / or images, no message appears only a sound.
-> I can copy anything from a PDF page and it goes to clipboard, so I can paste into another application.
-> I can paste plain text. (it's pasted in a comment frame)
-> Moving with Ctrl held down works to copy a comment element on the same page.
It's really only the fact of pasting a comment or image element on a PDF page that causes problems. (from the same PDF page or other application)
I think a setting on PDF Xchange Viewer or Windows is problematic, but I can't find which one.

thanks for the report. Did you know that we are no longer developing the Viewer? It has been replaced by the PDF-XChange Editor.
Can I encourage you to try the Editor instead of the Viewer and see how that goes?

I also wanted to followup on this, if you are able to paste comments, but not images and other base content, it is quite likely that the document in question has some security or a signature in place which prevents base content editing, but allows commenting. If that is the case, there will be nothing we can do here (even in the Editor) beyond suggest you find an unlocked version of the file, or if you know the password, remove it manually. Removing a password from a file can be done via the document properties (Ctrl+D) under Security.

I'm not a PC administrator and can't install PDF-XChange Editor right now, but I'll give it a try.
I cannot paste comment frames, I can only paste simple texts.
The problem is recurrent in all PDF documents, protected or not.
The document properties (Ctrl + D) under Security show that all protections are disabled.

If that is the case I will need to offer the same suggestion as Paul, The Viewer is quite old and discontinued now, as you are aware it is in version 2.5. We are just about to release version 9 of our products in the coming weeks.
I would highly recommend that you contact your IT department and ask them to update you to the latest version of our Editor so you can take advantage of all it offers.
